Through a new Megaways agreement, Microgaming strengthens its relationship with BTG
The Australian entertainment company Big Time Gaming (BTG) has strengthened its partnership with the Isle of Man-based software provider Microgaming by means of a deal that will see the Isle of Man-based software provider use BTG's trademarked Megaways mechanic in a number of games in the near future.
Microgaming and the network of independent game studios that it works with are going to collaborate on a project to bring a unique gameplay feature to upcoming games that are going to be available on the provider's platform. Shamrock Holmes, an online video slot, will be the first game to implement the Megaways advancement. Its distribution across the network is scheduled to take place in January 2021.
Integration was planned for:
John Coleman, Chief Executive Officer of Microgaming, was quoted in a news statement issued by the firm and offered his thoughts on the new partnership with BTG...
According to John Coleman, CEO of Microgaming,...
"MegawaysTM has been a big success, and we are thrilled to announce that we will be incorporating the gameplay mechanism into several of our upcoming titles. Big Time Gaming is an established leader in the gaming industry, and we are thrilled to deepen our partnership with them and increase the size of their presence on our platform.
The company, which has its headquarters in Sydney, introduced its Megaways solution in 2016, with the intention of enhancing player engagement in online slot games by providing a "dynamic, fast-paced gaming experience." When a random reel modifier system is utilized, it is possible for each given spin to create a "constantly shifting amount of symbols" throughout the grid. And because of this, players are able to enjoy a totally different game each and every time, one that has "hundreds of thousands" of different ways they may win.
BTG "mission":
Nik Robinson, the Chief Executive Officer of Big Time Gaming, provided more commentary about the newly inked Megaways partnership, stating that...
"We are on a quest to introduce the MegawaysTM revolution to a larger audience, and Microgaming is about as big as it gets. These individuals were early pioneers in the business, and to this day, they continue to be one of the most powerful forces in the gaming field. As passionate players of slot machines, we are overjoyed to be able to make even a modest contribution to the Microgaming success story.
Launching in October are slots:
The month of October saw a steady stream of new slot machines released by Microgaming. These new games came from the company's network of independent game development studios and were released throughout the month. As part of the launch, the Australian company's Royal Mint was made available on the 5th, and on the 12th, Microgaming operators and their players were given early access to the new video slot Chocolates from BTG. Another smash game, The Final Countdown, which made its debut at the beginning of 2019, will be made available on the Microgaming platform beginning on October 26.
Governing laws of Germany:
In addition, the new regulations regarding online gambling in Germany are not scheduled to go into effect until July 2021, thus the provider is now working hard to come up with a solution for its clients that is compliant with the new regulations of online slot machine licensing. According to Microgaming, a solution that is compliant with the German Toleration Regime will be released by the 15th of October. This will make it possible for customers to be "technically ready" to access the market of the Western European nation "with the flip of a switch."
Leon Thomas, the Commercial Director for Microgaming, remarked that...
"As a socially responsible company, Microgaming broadly supports the regulatory changes in Germany," the company said in a statement. "We will be providing our customers with a solution that includes some of our most popular and successful titles – well in advance of the new gambling laws coming into effect next year."
The service provider has stated that it would make more than 150 games accessible to its clients in the market. These games will include well-known titles like "Book of Oz" developed by Triple Edge Studios, "9 Masks of Fire" developed by Gameburger Studios, and "Bonanza" developed by BTG.
